Introducing Solo 2 DL

Solo 2 DL is the successor of AiM's popular Solo DL datalogger. Built tough for the rough environment of motorsports with an intuitive user interface, it offers a true Plug&Play experience.

The Solo 2 DL is designed for seamless integration with over 2000 different ECU models via CAN, RS232, and K-line communication, allowing for vital engine data collection.

The lap timer is very versatile and suits a lot of racing categories. In particular, car and bike racing will benefit from the lap timer. With a very simple mounting, the Solo 2 DL can easily be moved from vehicle to vehicle.

GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou & Galileo technology are combined - receiving signals from more than 20 satellites. This ensures a precision of less than 0.02 seconds. GPS position is logged at 25 Hz, which enables precise lap times, calculation of speed and acceleration.

Easy handling of lap times

A built-in database with tracks from all around the world ensures an easy handling of the lap times. All you need is to switch the lap timer on, and your lap times are automatically registered. If the track is not in the database, you can with little effort, add new tracks with the track learning function.

The predictive lap time function guides you directly on the track and tells throughout the lap if you are improving or losing time.

Data review on lap timer

With a few pushes on the buttons, you can easily review your lap times directly on the display, without the need to download data. Key data like lap times, minimum and maximum speed is immediately available for review.

Free Data Analysis Software

If you prefer to dig deeper into the data recorded, the free Race Studio 3 is available. Here you analyze the data collected from corner to corner, looking into racing lines, brake zones, corner speeds, engine information and much more. Downloading of data is done through WiFi without the need to fit any cables.

Display customization

The Solo 2 DL lets you setup custom pages to display the exact information you desire. 5 pages with 1 to 4 data fields can be configured with data like lap times, -/+ best time, predictive lap timer, number of laps, speed, engine information, and much more. With 8 background light colors to choose from, the Solo 2 DL can blend into any cockpit.

LED's to guide you

5 LED’s on each side of the Solo 2 DL visualize how the current lap time compares to your best lap. This can be the best lap from the actual run, the day or even a reference time loaded from Race Studio 3, maybe from last year, a teammate or even a competitor.

The LED’s can also be used as shift lights.

Flexible power supply

The internal battery will for most racers, last for days. For longer runs, the lap timer can be switched to a 12 volt battery supply or ignition signal, which can also automatically power the lap timer up.

Connectivity

The built communication interface allows you to gather data from most modern vehicle ECU’s. For vintage vehicles, an RPM input is also available.

Solo 2 DL can also connect to a few of AIM’s expansions, like the LCU lambda controller. It also serves as the perfect bridge to the SmartyCam3 camera system.
