Description

The speed sensor measures the RPM of the rear axle of a kart. The speed measure and data can help to choose the right gearing ratio for the engine. 

Speed measurement is available on MyChron5 and newer lap timers with GPS, making this sensor needless in most cases.

Features

The sensor has a 8 mm diameter and connects to the MyChron Expansion and is installed with a bracket (not supplied) to sense on a magnet fitted to the rear axle, often in a magnet ring. 

The sensing distance to the magnet needs to be between 8 and 20mm. The sensor comes with a cable length of 170 cm.
